This April is chock full of all sorts of great holidays. There’s April Fool’s Day, Dyngus Day, Easter, World Health Day, Scrabble Day, National High Five Day, and more. But did you know that there are also celebrations that go on for the whole month of April, too?

National Humor Month.

Since April kicks off with April Fool’s Day, it’s only natural that it would also be National Humor Month. Now that it’s in its 37th year, the aim of National Humor Month is to help beat away any blues that people might be left with from winter. Although spring might be thawing things out already, the gloom from months of snow can still linger, making it hard for some people to feel happy. International Guitar Month.

International Guitar Month is an annual celebration of one of mainstream music’s most popular instruments. National Poetry Month.

Last but far from least, April is also National Poetry Month. Began in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets, National Poetry Month is the largest literary celebration of the art of poetry in the world.
